Dietitians: Information for Applicants for Licensure about Medical Errors and HIV/AIDS courses.

Legislative change. Effective July 1, 2016, all applicants for a Florida health care profession license no longer have to take a Prevention of Medical Errors CE course prior to licensure.

Once licensed, the licensee must take a 2 hour Prevention of Medical Errors course every two year license renewal period, including the first renewal.

A course on HIV/AIDS is not required prior to licensure. A 3 hour HIV/AIDS course must be taken one time, after licensure and prior to your first license renewal. We offer a 3 hour HIV/AIDS course that meets the Florida Council requirement.
